Our Cubs have been busy helping the local community recently with two hands‑on service projects.

At St Mary’s Church in Potsgrove, the Cubs rolled up their sleeves to help with cleaning inside the historic building. They swept, dusted, tidied pews, and learned a little about the church’s long history while doing their bit to support the Churches Conservation Trust.

Back in Heath & Reach, the Cubs turned their attention to the village playground, giving the equipment a much‑needed wash and freshen‑up. Armed with buckets, brushes, and plenty of enthusiasm, they worked together to make the play area cleaner and more welcoming for local families, and did a litter pick of the surrounding area, finding many cans and crisp wrappers but more unusually a large comb and a bird feeder!

Both activities were a great chance for the Cubs to learn about community responsibility – and they took real pride in seeing the difference their efforts made.
