This week our Cub Scouts enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Heath and Reach wind turbines, learning first‑hand how energy is generated right on our doorstep. The Cubs explored the site, discovered how the turbines work, and took part in fun wind‑themed activities that brought the science to life.
The visit was a great chance for the young people to see engineering in action and to understand how renewable energy helps power local homes. A huge thank you to the team from AW Group who welcomed us and answered the Cubs’ many enthusiastic questions.
It was a brilliant outing – and one the Cubs won’t forget in a hurry.
