Heath and Reach Cubs recently spent a night ‘camping’ inside St. Leonard’s Church, learning about local history and helping out in the community.
The Cubs were keen to find out more about the history of the village, and because the 17th Century church is one of the oldest buildings, it was an obvious choice. Father Noel and the church wardens were happy to help, offering the chance to sleep in the church, and providing a tour and quiz about the church. The Cubs spent the evening cleaning the floors, polishing pews, and dusting, followed by torchlight board games.
Sleeping in such an unusual building was an adventure for everyone, finishing with an early breakfast in the garden.
