DIY SOS?

We were pleased there were no DIY disasters at Cubs recently… in fact quite the opposite as they all showed themselves to be very capable at sawing, sanding, drilling and varnishing. That’ll be handy if the woodworm return!

Keep ReadingA visit to Phasels Wood allowed the Cubs to show their adventure and teamwork skills, with a day of activities. Crate stacking, High ropes, the 3G swing, caving, and fire lighting, amounted to a busy day, and ticked off several pieces of Award work.

Keep ReadingThe recent cold weather wasn’t enough to stop the Cubs getting outdoors and learning about fire lighting. Things were a bit damp to manage anything too impressive, but everyone managed to get a fire going, and we even managed to toast some marshmallows.
